Our background
Water Lane Joinery was founded in 2004.
Since our inception we have operated from a large and well equipped workshop in a nineteenth century mill in the Derbyshire Dales. You are always very welcome to pay us a visit.
Our work has taken us across Derbyshire and to the north and south of the UK. From our beginnings to the present day, our focus has always been to deliver high quality and bespoke woodworking services in collaboration with our clients, whatever the project type.

In today's climate of mass production we take pride in producing genuine bespoke work for people and organisations who still appreciate the qualities and value of handcrafted individually made pieces. This approach benefits everyone - clients gain woodwork that is high quality and long lasting, we receive great satisfaction from delivering on such projects, and the environment benefits because we choose not to buy into fast fashion furniture and design principles.
We are committed to sustainability and our work practice reflects this. Our garden rooms are eco-friendly, our doors and windows are energy efficient, our restoration and refurbishment work focuses on preservation and restoration of the historic fabric whenever possible.
